The Key Coalition is completely volunteer-run. Your donation makes it possible for the Key Coalition of Alaska to fund fly-ins to the state capitol enabling advocates and self-advocates to share their stories with legislators. Donations also make it possible to employee a lobbyist to aid Key in its mission of advocacy to promote the dignity, status, and equality of all Alaskans who experience disabilities as valued, contributing participants in a shared community.

Key Coalition of Alaska is a 501(c)4 non-profit working to promote social welfare. Donations are not considered charitable contributions, therefore are not tax-deductible.

The Legacy of Steve Lesko

Steve Lesko served as the Executive Director of Hope Community Resources for 32 years. Throughout his tenure as Executive Director he championed the rights of Alaskans with disabilities. His passion for advocacy is legendary not only in Alaska, but nationwide. Steve was a wonderful mentor and powerful public speaker. His vision was contagious and moved people and systems to action. Steve’s advocacy became the heart and soul of the Key Coalition of Alaska. Key has become one of the leading grassroots advocacy organizations in the state, impacting hundreds of individuals and families experiencing disabilities. Steve passed away unexpectedly on May 29, 2016. Alaska lost a visionary leader but the movement he championed continues. Help continue Steve Lesko’s legacy here
